Light at the End of the Tunnel

Light at the End of the Tunnel

You have to make sacrifices when you are saving to travel. It can be stressful. Simple things, like going out for meals or drinks, buying new clothes, going to the cinema or other luxuries have to be cut down quite a bit.

Luckily, I have Rachel. We have lots of nights in on the PS4 or watching movies etc which helps us both save. It’s nice to spend your hard earned cash once in a while but we both know by spending as little as possible, we are going to be better off and have less financial worry when we are traveling.

I’d love to say that it’s been all sunshine and rainbows when we have been saving for months, but in reality it sucks. It can be stressful.

We’ve both had a stressful few months, we both work hard. I recently decided it was a good idea to spend more time at home. Spending more time with family before we go away makes sense as I won’t see them for a while and soon enough me and Rachel will be together everyday on our adventures. In theory it was a good idea but in reality it is difficult!

Living at home when you have lived on your own for many years, is very difficult. Lack of space and privacy can be frustrating and combining this with other factors, it can all get a bit stressful.

Thankfully for me, I have the best girlfriend in the world and no matter how stressed or angry I get, she is always there to help me and support me.

It’s all about sacrifices. I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel and it’s getting brighter every day.
